Master Bathroom

Our bathroom is turning out great! While Micah was here, we mudded and sanded the drywall, primed and painted the bathroom, and built the shower. The shower is a walk-in shower with tile 3/4 the way up the wall. These pictures are over several days work.

Here is the walk-in shower before when it was just framed in.
The things on the bottom are to help the slope, so the water will
drain.

Adam mudding the ceilings and walls.

Pouring the concrete in the bathroom.

Concrete is almost done in the shower.

This is where the whirlpool jet tub will go

Adam screwing the concrete boards to the wall. The tile
will eventually go on top of these boards.

Concrete boards are all in.

Here is the bench for the shower.

Ready for tile.

Kristi priming the walls in the bathroom.

No more green drywall.

Painted above the concrete boards.

Starting to lay the mosaic tiles for the floor.

Isn't it pretty.

Kristi started off cutting the tile.

until Aaron arrived. We made him a little tool
bench to cut the tiles on.

Micah placing the thin set on the back of the tile.
This is what makes it stick to the surface.

Begining of tiling the shower.

Tiling the bench.

Looking so good.

Inserts for the shower. This is where shampoo
and soap will go. I was at work while they were doing this.
They worked until 4am on this. Those inserts took forever.

All the tile is done! BEAUTIFUL!!

All that is left to do is grouting and sealing.

Grout and sealer is done. Can it be any more
beautiful?

I love it more than I ever imagined it!

Island and Range Hood

One of my most favorite features of the cabinets were out lovely island with a range hood above it. Our stove will be in the island. Installing the range hood was very difficult.

The space is where the stove will go.

Adam preparing to put the range hood in. He
had to change some duct work around to be able
to put it in.

Ugh-ohh! What to do now? We better read
the instructions!!

HEAVY!

FYI...It's not really blue. That is just a covering
to keep it clean. It will be stainless steel just like
the rest of the appliances.

Cabinets

Since we ordered the cabinets, I have been dieing to see them! Issac, Jaymie, and Aubrey also came to help with the cabinets. The cabinets are absolutely beautiful! I love them!

Aubrey and I were taking the empty boxes out to the truck.

Kitchen

Some last minute drywall mudding and sanding needed to be done before we could install the cabinets. After that was finished, they painted the kitchen walls.

Here are some funny pictures that Haley drew on the drywall. Haley is our niece (Aaron's daughter). She came with Aaron to help on the house. (I was sleeping at this time, so I didn't get any pictures).

This one cracks me up. This is a picture of Adam and I in the hammock
outside our window. This is where Adam proposed to me!

This one is great! This is our dome. I'm a little hurt that is says,
"Adam's house (Dome)" (Not Adam and Kristi's dome). Maybe because
I wasn't there. I don't know.

After the kitchen was done being mudded and sanded, they painted it.
I really like the color. It was actually the color I had picked out for
the bathroom, but Adam liked it for the kitchen. I think it turned out
really nice.
