October 4, 2008: This was seriously the most exciting day yet. It was the day our dome was actually going to look like a dome. Since the aiform was bolted to the concrete slab now...the next step was to hook it up to a giant fan (or air compressor) and watch it slowly inflate. (The fan will keep it up until after we spray foam, hang rebar, and spray concrete.) It actually inflated a lot slower than what we thought. We started it at aprox. 4pm, and when we went to bed that night, it still wasn't inflated all the way. So, it wasn't until the next morning that we saw our fully inflated dome. We later realized that the fan was blowing the wrong way and that is why it was going so slow. Oh well! It was very exciting walking into the dome the next morning.
