I guess a railing would be nice for the stairs

I missed them building the stairs because I was working but I got to help with building the railing.  Here are a few pics from that. 

How do we get up to the second floor?

April 2009:

Since we now have a second level, and beautiful windows...now what?

We needed a way to get up there.   Adam and one of his buddies from work built the entire stairs in one night.  They worked on it until abour 1am.  I was working this night, and when I came home in the morning, we had a beautiful set of stairs.    

We were originally going to have a spiral staircase, but then changed our plans.  We thought it would be easier to get things up and down the stairs, if we did them this way.

April 2009:

I do have to say, up until now, the inside of our dome looked a lot like a cave.   Now that the windows are in, it definately looks a lot more like a home.  Adam's brother, Aaron, came over one Saturday and helped us put most of the windows in.  I love our new windows!

We have an upstairs now!

March 2009:

Now that the floor joists are up to support the upstairs...we put plywood down so we can walk upstairs.  It was exciting to say, "We walked on the second level today."
